Website Reviews with Nicole LeCorgne – All Proceeds Benefit APG Program Development

APG is excited to announce our first series of website reviews! From January 9th to February 3, 2023, APG’s Programs Director, Web Designer and Associate Curator, Nicole LeCorgne, will be conducting one-to-one reviews of both member and non-member websites. In these reviews she will look at the design of your website from a graphic perspective, as well as website flow, ease of use, and content. She will talk about what curator and arts administrators look for in website design, and discuss ways you can level up your site to reflect your vision and highlight your work. She will also address the sequencing and content of your galleries, as well as content and formatting of artist/project statements, bios and CVs.

These reviews are design-based. These reviews are design-based. Nicole will not be advising on the technical navigation.

As an artist, musician and graphic designer, Nicole LeCorgne has been designing promotional graphics and building her own websites, as well as consulting with fellow artists in these areas, for over 20 years. As an arts administrator and curator, Nicole views to artist’s websites on a regular basis, and often makes hiring or curatorial decisions based on how well those sites highlight an artist’s work.

Originally from New Orleans, LA, Nicole LeCorgne is a photographer specializing in wet plate collodion and historic printing processes. She developed a love for darkroom processes and photography as fine art while an undergraduate at University of New Orleans, but spent the greater part of her career as a percussionist, educator, and ethnomusicologist specializing in music of the Middle East before returning to the darkroom and fine art photography.

Nicole is a Fulbright scholar with an MA in Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University, and an MFA in Photography from Savanah College of Art and Design. She has photographed in Saudi Arabia for Aramco World Magazine, and has work included in collections such as the Smithsonian Institution and the Awagami Paper Museum in Japan. Nicole is currently the Programs Director, Associate Curator, and Web Designer for the Atlanta Photography Group. She lives in Marietta, GA.
