Selects is our feature exhibition for Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP), the month-long, citywide photography festival. The exhibition will be juried by the High Museum assistant photography curator Gregory Harris, and the show will be featured in the ACP Festival Guide. The Virginia Twinam Smith Award is an important part of this exhibition. APG will offer two artists one $500 award each for the purchase of their photograph for acquisition into the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA).
Juror: Gregory Harris
Gregory Harris is the Assistant Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Harris is a specialist in documentary photography and is best known for his work with emerging artists. Since joining the High in July 2016, Harris has organized the exhibitions Thomas Struth: Nature & Politics (2016), The Spirit of the Place: Photographs by Jack Leigh (2017), and Paul Graham: The Whiteness of the Whale (2017). He was previously the Assistant Curator at the DePaul Art Museum in Chicago and held curatorial positions in the Photography Department at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Virginia Twinam Smith Purchase Award
Each year two photographs from our Selectsexhibition are awarded a $500 cash prize and the photographs are donated to the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA) for their permanent collection. Past recipients include:

Description
There is no theme for this exhibition. You can submit anywhere from 2-8 images. You must be a member of APG to enter. Membership discounted for students. Also, APG is pleased to offer a limited quantity of need-based scholarships. Please email info@atlantaphotographygroup.org. for an application form.

Second: Prepare Text File and Images
- Export images as .jpg. Resize to maximum 2048 px on the longest side (72ppi).
- Rename files to the title of the work, exactly as you wish it to appear (Example: My Great Photo.jpg) Your name will be automatically prepended to each file upon upload.
- Create a text file with your name, artist statement (500 words max), bio (250 words max) and title list that includes creation year and medium. Upload this file along with your images. We suggest you download the example file on this page to use as a starting point.
- Once you have paid the entry fee and uploaded your files, you will receive a confirmation email.
