APG / High Museum Purchase Award
Each year APG’s annual Portfolio exhibition features projects of 6-8 photographers chosen by a nationally recognized curator from submissions. The High Museum of Art has had the opportunity to select multiple pieces for its own collection, the 2019 purchase award will also go to the High Museum’s collection. Future purchase awards may be rotated to well known regional museum collections. The chosen photographic artist will receive a monetary award of $2,500 from APG. This award was crowd-funded in 2016, since 2017, the award is jointly funded by Ted Maloof Estate and Edwin Robinson, who began the program in 2013.
