Atlanta Photography Group (APG) has partnered with the Avondale Arts Alliance to present an open theme, all-photography group exhibition at the Avondale Arts Center. This call for entry is free, open to everyone (you don’t have to be an APG member) and is open until July 27, 2024.

We are accepting submissions from up to 200 artists. Each artist is allowed to submit up to 5 images.

Our jurors will select 80 images for the exhibition and the exhibit will run August 24, 2024 to October 5, 2024 at the Avondale Arts Alliance gallery in Avondale Estates.

The Opening Reception will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 6-9 pm ET. The Closing Reception will be Saturday, October 5 from 6-9 pm ET.

The Avondale Arts Alliance is a registered 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts in Avondale Estates.

They are a volunteer-run organization that works with the City of Avondale Estates as well as local businesses and artists to create unique, purposeful programming. Their mission is to create and cultivate a sense of community centered on art, to support local artists, and enrich the lives of those living and working in Avondale Estates.

ENTRY INFORMATION

Important Details:
  • This call for entry is open to everyone. You do not need to be a member of APG to submit your work for consideration.
  • No fee to submit.
  • There is no theme.
  • Work which has previously been shown at the APG gallery is eligible for this exhibition.
  • 30% commission supports the Alliance and the Avondale Arts Center, please price your works accordingly. Note, we do not add the commission price on top of the price you supply us, we will price the works exactly as you outline them in the submission below.
  • You can submit up to 5 pieces for consideration, please reload the page and fill out the form once for each artwork submission.
  • Each image for your submissions must have the proper filename. Use the following format: Lastname-title.jpg.
  • Open to established and emerging artists alike.
  • All artwork must be delivered with requisite hardware for hanging (i.e. wires, hooks, etc.).
  • Important Note: we cannot modify your artwork in any way, so please ensure that your work is ready to be hung from a nail on the wall when you drop it off. Artwork delivered without hanging hardware be excluded from the exhibition.

Notifications of Selections: On or about August 3, 2024

Deadline for Delivery of Artwork: Sunday, August 18, 2024, 10:00am-1:00pm ET

Exhibition Dates: August 24 – October 5, 2024

Opening Reception: August 24, 2024 6:00-9:00pm ET

Closing Reception: October 5, 2024 6:00-9:00pm ET

FILE PREPARATION

  • The jurors will be selecting the images from all entries.
  • Export images as .jpg. Resize to 2100 px on the longest side.
  • Rename files to Lastname-title.jpg
