Avery, President and Owner of Alan Avery Art Company, will recap his award-winning talk on the business of being a professional artist, So You Want to be An Artist, and expand on the original by incorporating The Business of Fine Art Photography as a Career, while Balancing Commercial Photography Income.

Alan Avery is the President and Owner of Alan Avery Art Company.
The gallery opened in 1981 in a downtown warehouse on Trinity Avenue, formerly known as Trinity Gallery. In 1991, the gallery moved to the Buckhead district of Atlanta where it has been located for 42 years.
Alan Avery Art Company, now the oldest sustained art gallery in Atlanta, represents works by exciting and technically proficient emerging, mid-career, and internationally established artists including: Robert Rauschenberg, Jim Dine, Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, Roy Lichtenstein, Caio Fonseca, Donald Sultan, Helen Frankenthaler, Louise Nevelson, Kara Walker, Fabiola Jean -Louis, Margaret Bowland, the Estate of Thomas Hart Benton and the Estate of Romare Bearden.
The gallery has been named Best Gallery in Georgia for the last 3 years by the GA Business Journal.
