The Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bryan Galgano as its new Assistant Gallery Director. This newly created part-time position is designed to support APG’s Executive Director in the daily operations of the Ansley Mall Gallery, as well as the management of the APG website and social media platforms.
Bryan has been an integral part of the APG community for the past three years as a dedicated volunteer, becoming a familiar presence in the gallery on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and during exhibit openings.
A self-taught photographer with a passion for capturing the personalities of pets, Bryan specializes in pet portraits and fine art. Over the last seven years, he has documented the charm of Georgia’s beloved animals—from dogs and cats to parrots and pigs.
Prior to relocating to Atlanta, Bryan worked extensively with nonprofits and local government in New York and San Francisco, where he managed constituent services and press relations for elected officials. He has also supported fundraising efforts for notable organizations, including the ALS Association and California Trout.
Bryan resides in Atlanta with his wife, Meg, a consultant and potter, along with their two rescue dogs, Hula and Bean Sprout, and the occasional foster dog. The companionship of Meg and their furry friends serves as a continual source of inspiration for Bryan’s artistic endeavors.
“We are excited to welcome Bryan to our team,” said David Clifton-Strawn, Executive Director of APG. “His passion for photography and extensive experience in community engagement will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our gallery and outreach efforts.”
