Honing Your Artist Statement

Whether we write to accompany our work in galleries or to promote our work through project proposals, grant applications, applications for residencies, and so on, it is imperative that we write clearly and compellingly about our work. In this workshop, instructor J. Russell Cambron will help participants to write effectively for artistic and professional publication.

Applicants should come prepared with a 250 – 300 word statement on a current or existing project, along with at least 5 images from this project. We will review each participant’s statement as a group and provide feedback as well as time for revisions.
