Atlanta Photography Group presents Exhibition: APG> Airport 2021 – Opening September 30, 2021- January 19, 2022. This exhibition is located in the main atrium at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA, hosted by APG during Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is now accepting entries from APG Member’s for Choice 2022. The 2022 exhibition will be guest curated by Paula Tognarelli. This curated exhibition is open to all current members of APG. Our guest curator will choose 1-2 images from each member entry. Register below, between December 17- January 17, 2021 @ 11:59pm ET. You will be notified of the selections by January 22, 2022. You will need to deliver your framed, presentation ready photographs by February 5, 2022. This is your chance to show a personal favorite, maybe you have a wonderful image that just doesn’t fit in with a series - It’s your CHOICE!

The Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is now accepting entries of photographic-based images in honor of the upcoming exhibition at the High Museum of Art of André Kertész’s work on Carte Postale. https://high.org/exhibition/andre-kertesz-postcards-from-paris/ This CFE asks artists to submit work focused on creating new ways of seeing their surroundings. Images may cross photographic practices and may include fine art, avant-garde, photojournalism, documentary work and more. What would your photographic postcard consist of and where would it come from in this moment - home, a road trip, your studio or maybe a place within your imagination or memory? Like Kertész’s images, we want to see not only what is around you in a physical, or literal form, but also how you interpret what you see in a very personal and intimate way and how it speaks to you.

This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to be successful with Capture One. We will cover a start to finish workflow. You will get to know the tools, understand file management, and exporting/ processing of your images. By the end you will have the confidence to work your files to fit your vision.

This class will meet twice a month for six months. We will meet on a Sunday from 1 – 5pm (4 hrs) and the following Thursday evening from 7-9pm (2 hrs). For Jan – March, we will be meeting on Zoom and then if circumstances allow, we will meet in person at the gallery April – June. On Sundays. Thursday will nearly always be online to accommodate anyone with a difficult commute on a workday evening.

Lightroom is a great program to help you organize your files, help you develop, print and share your digital images. Working with your own images, you will have the opportunity to practice new skills with guidance in the online class setting. This workshop will get you started as a new user, giving you the skills necessary to import new images into Lightroom, sort and manage your catalog, create collections, use basic to intermediate editing tools, and print your images directly from Lightroom.
