Ready to dive deeper into image editing after learning the basics? Understanding color is an important skill in developing our editing techniques. In this workshop we will begin with establishing the right editing environment by learning to calibrate our monitors and looking at the ways that proper calibration can impact on our images. We’ll learn to utilize curves to control our tonality and make subject color choices to enhance our images. We’ll cover advanced editing and masking techniques such as selecting skies, subjects, range masks, smart objects, and Adobe Camera RAW. Finally, we uncover advance skin retouching techniques, smoothing skin tones and texture by using Color Range; skin enhancement adjustments with quick tools such as Texture, Clarity, Dehaze, Sharpen, and getting professional results using Frequency Separation.

The Atlanta Photography Group is excited to announce our next CFE, Tell Me A Story, which is celebrating street and documentary photography of all styles with a strong narrative. We are looking for your most compelling stories – they can be candid depictions of everyday life, shadows of the city streets, the abandonment of a country road, subtle moments of joy, humor, love, fear or anxiety. Think of work like that created by Diane Arbus, Bruce Davidson, Robert Frank, Josef Koudleka, Helen Levitt, Baldwin Lee, Roy DeCarava, Mary Ellen Mark, Daido Moriyama, Lee Friedlander, Lisette Model, Gordon Parks, and Harry Callahan.
